How can you move the nav-bar from the top of the page to the left?

  7. Rob Sterlini says:

no it wouldn’t. If you wanted to change it’s state while you’ve got it clicked you’d have :active or in some instances :focus, but :click is not a selector. onClick is a Javascript command that you can use.

    ScreenFlow

  21. Rob Sterlini says:

sure, it’s a simple line of code that means when you say that an element is going to be x pixels wide, lets use 200px as an example, it will put the padding within that. So width:200px; padding:20px; will be 200px wide, whereas without that, on some browsers it would be 200 + the padding, 240px whereas others it’d be 200px. It’s just a neat trick for cross-browser compatability :)

Can you briefly explain the * bo-sizing bit at the beginning of the style css. It caught my attention and now I’m really interested to find out why it needs that bit of code.
