How do I make it so I can see every line or segment on my model like you have? I’ve currently got one solid green house and it’s annoying me!

7 people don’t know what 3D Max is, they thought it was a game or something. Thanks for the tutorial, I was actually doing it the hard the way.

id did not devide into 2 parts

  11. votekick says:

    1. Shift + Backspace
2.The capture software didn’t capture the diologue box i was messing with, at 8:10 its bottom left corner of the screen. Basically click on the number 10 and u can move your mouse back and forth to increase/decrease the number.

Need some help, can somebody help me?:
    1. When I delete an edge, I delete the face too 3:42
2.- How do you shrink it at 8:19, I can’t edit the polygon after the window “extrude polygon”

Thank you, this video was really useful, though!

  16. votekick says:

2 story as in two floors.

  17. todorov62 says:

what do you mean by 2 and single story?

  18. todorov62 says:

the part at 4:39 I can’t get rid of the edges I just can’t select them at all? I’m using 2012

  19. votekick says:

You’d want to create a couple variants in the model and textures (2 and single story etc etc).

  20. todorov62 says:

do you think if I built this fully would it pass of as a village if I created multiple of these? I’m going for a Nordic theme as well

  21. cap123321 says:

I have used both programs extensively and must say 3ds max is much better , but comes with a hefty price tag

  22. votekick says:

Well I think so but obviously im biased…

  23. str82kill says:

    Spread the word

  25. musicmystro says:

yea that seems to be the shape of it, every other autodesk product doesn’t have this problem and type in isn’t always ideal same as moveing things on the viewport that ur not looking at. Fortunatley… i found a way round this …. i made a plane that covered the grid, subdivided until it match the grid. rotated it pushed it bk and up so it was on the bk line of the grid, froze it and enabled snap to Grid points and lines, frozen ob, edges and verticies. and wallah! Z axiz you can snap to. :D
